World Nature Conservation Day Celebrated
The Bharat Vikas Parishad, Subhash Branch, organized a World Nature Conservation Day celebration at Model Public Residential School, Dhikli, Udaipur.
On this occasion, Environmental Convenor Karan Mal Jaroli inspired all students and teachers to participate in the "Plant a Tree in Mother's Name" campaign, emphasizing how tree plantation can help make our city and country cleaner and free from pollution.
Members of the branch collectively planted 30 saplings on the school campus. Following this, branch members, students, and teachers threw 500 seed balls across the nearby hills behind the school. These seed balls are expected to germinate during the monsoon season and grow into trees, contributing to environmental conservation.
The program was attended by Provincial Contact Convenor Rishabh Kumar Jain, Branch President Er. Ranjeet Lal Jain, Secretary Shobha Lal Dashora, Treasurer Nirbhay Singh Babel, Patron Dr. Nagendra Prasad Sharma, and Former Water Conservation and De-addiction In-charge Dr. P. C. Jain.
As part of the event, 10 selected students were designated as "Jal Jankars" (Water Ambassadors). They were given practical training on the operation of the rooftop rainwater harvesting system installed at the school's hostel so that they could manage the system effectively. They were also shown educational videos explaining the importance of rainwater conservation and everyday water-saving practices. These students will further share this knowledge with their classmates, helping spread awareness about water conservation.
The event was coordinated by Sanskar Praveen Mehta, Gaurang Shah, and Gopal Krishna Darak. From the school, Principal Neeta Vyas, Jignesh, along with teachers and students, actively participated in the program.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all the participants for their valuable contribution toward environmental protection and water conservation.
