Guru Gauravam celebrates teachers, honors academic excellence
Outstanding educators and meritorious students felicitated at Guru Purnima event
UDAIPUR,Vidya Niketan Secondary School, Sector 14, in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad, Mewar Branch, organized the "Guru Gauravam" celebration on Wednesday, honoring the enduring teacher-student tradition and recognizing outstanding teachers and meritorious students.
Addressing the gathering, chief guest Sanjeev Bhardwaj, Regional Coordinator of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Mewar, said a true guru is one who leads people "from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge." He said teachers not only impart education but also instill values, discipline and character that shape an individual's life.
The event was attended by senior office-bearers of Bharat Vikas Parishad, including Regional Coordinator Sanjeev Bhardwaj, senior member Harishankar Tiwari, President Narendra Singh Sisodia, Secretary Advocate Sanjay Mehta, Treasurer Mahendra Paliwal, Sanskar Coordinator Dr. Yogesh Gyani, Service Coordinator Shriratna Mohata, and other members.
As part of the celebration, the organization honored five meritorious students—Himanshi Devda, Disha Joshi, Innuma Khatun, Rakshit Joshi and Kuldeep Suthar—for their academic achievements and wished them success in their future endeavors.
Five educators were also felicitated for their significant contribution to education and value-based learning. The honorees included Meena Rathore, Harsha Chaubisa, Meenakshi Sharma, Preeti Sen and school principal Prabhu Joshi.
Students presented cultural performances and inspirational segments highlighting the importance of teachers and the guru-disciple tradition. During the program, Bharat Vikas Parishad administered an anti-drug pledge to students and attendees, promoting a healthy and value-based lifestyle.
On the occasion, Bhardwaj also announced the donation of floor matting for the school's hall, a gesture welcomed by the school community.
