Guru dispels darkness of ignorance with the light of wisdom, says Surendra Muni
Devotees gather at Devendra Dham for Guru Purnima celebrations and Guru Vandana ceremony
UDAIPUR, A large religious congregation was held at Devendra Dham on Bhuvana Road on the occasion of Guru Purnima, where spiritual leaders emphasized the transformative role of a guru in guiding individuals toward knowledge, values and self-realization.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Surendra Muni said a true guru illuminates life with wisdom and dispels the darkness of ignorance. He described the guru as humanity's true guide, leading individuals toward knowledge, character building and spiritual well-being.
He said the teachings of a guru instill positive energy and play a vital role in strengthening families, society and the nation. Beyond imparting education, a guru provides the right direction for life, helping individuals develop purity of thought, strong character and self-confidence. He added that Guru Purnima is a unique occasion to express devotion, gratitude and reverence toward one's guru.
During the event, Dr. Surendra Muni also led devotees in performing Guru Vandana before the idols of Lord Adinath and the revered spiritual masters.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajendra Muni urged devotees to follow the path shown by their gurus by renouncing negative qualities and embracing virtuous conduct. He said the guidance of a guru enables individuals not only to achieve personal spiritual growth but also to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation. He added that sincere devotion and commitment to a guru's teachings lead to inner peace, success and spiritual progress.
Following the religious discourse, a Guru Vandana and Felicitation Ceremony was organized, during which members of the community honored their spiritual teachers and sought their blessings.
The event was attended by community leaders, including Advocate Roshanlal Jain, president of the community, General Secretary Himmat Badala, Treasurer Dinesh Hingad, former Mayor Ranjani Dangi, former District Pramukh Madhu Mehta, and a large number of devotees.
The program concluded with a benediction by Upadhyay Ramesh Muni and Dipesh Muni, who prayed for peace, harmony, prosperity and spiritual progress for all.
