##Mahavir Group of Institutions Celebrates Guru Purnima with Reverence, Students Pay Tribute to Their Teachers

Udaipur: Mahavir Group of Institutions celebrated Guru Purnima with great devotion and enthusiasm at Mahavir College, located at Keer Ki Chauki, upholding the rich traditions of Indian culture and the timeless Guru-Shishya (teacher-disciple) tradition. Students and trainees from BA, MA, and D.El.Ed. programmes expressed their gratitude and reverence by honouring their teachers.

The celebration commenced with the ceremonial felicitation of faculty members through garlanding, applying tilak, and presenting Shriphal (coconut) as a mark of respect. Students sought the blessings of their mentors, creating a spiritually uplifting and culturally vibrant atmosphere across the campus.

Institute Director Dr. Ashish Vaya said that a Guru is not merely a teacher who imparts knowledge but a guide who provides the right direction in life. Dr. Nirmala Purohit, Principal of Mahavir College, remarked that the holistic development of students is possible only through the guidance and inspiration of dedicated teachers. Dr. Jyoti Bala Kudal, Principal of Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya Institution, highlighted the supreme place of the Guru in Indian culture, stating that teachers are the torchbearers of knowledge, values, and character.

Speakers at the event emphasized that Guru Purnima is not just a festival but a sacred occasion to express respect, gratitude, and devotion towards one's teachers. They noted that Gurus play a vital role in shaping students' personalities and guiding them towards success, morality, and a value-based life.

The programme was attended by Mrs. Neelam Modi, Dr. Bherudas Vaishnav, Ashok Jain, Rohit Sharma, Deepak Nanoma, Roshan Salvi, Mitesh Sharma, Bherulal Meghwal, Mrs. Sangeeta Paliwal, Mrs. Krishna Paliwal, along with faculty members, staff, and a large number of students.

The Guru Purnima celebrations concluded with students taking a pledge to follow the ideals and teachings of their Gurus and to imbibe moral values alongside academic excellence. The event beautifully reflected the dignity of India's Guru-Shishya tradition and reinforced the enduring significance of respecting and honouring teachers.
