Udaipur: On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, international and national medal-winning lacrosse players, along with their parents and coaching staff, felicitated Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani, a key promoter of lacrosse in the region. The players presented her with bouquets and a memento in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the development of the sport and the promotion of tribal sporting talent.
The players expressed gratitude for her efforts in identifying and nurturing talented tribal athletes from Udaipur’s tribal belt, providing them with opportunities to excel, and supporting the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Lakshya Olympic initiative. Parents and players described Kevalramani as a strong link between the government and sportspersons, whose guidance has enabled athletes to access training facilities, sports infrastructure, and various government welfare schemes.
Coaches also praised her visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to sports development, stating that her support has given lacrosse a new identity and momentum in Rajasthan.
