Tributes Paid to Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Mohanlal Sukhadia on Birth Anniversary
UDAIPUR : Congress leaders and representatives of various social organizations paid floral tributes to former Rajasthan Chief Minister Mohanlal Sukhadia on his birth anniversary Friday at the Sukhadia Memorial on Durga Nursery Road, remembering his contributions to the state's development.
The tribute ceremony began with Deepak Sukhadia and Nimisha Sukhadia lighting a ceremonial lamp before offering floral respects at the memorial.
Among those present were Preeti Shaktawat, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Fateh Singh Rathore, Arun Sukhadia, Sudha Sukhadia, Kashvi, Kovin Sukhadia, Tarachand Meena, Trilok Purbia, Ajay Singh, Dinesh Shrimali, Shankar Chandel, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Suresh Suthar, Kamini Gurjar, Govind Saxena, Pankaj Paliwal, Ashok Tamboli, Subhash Chittora, Sanjay Mandawani, Ravindra Pal Singh "Kappu," Mohan Meena, Chanda Suhalka, Pramod Verma, along with several Congress workers and members of the public.
Later, a seminar was organized at the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee's media center, "Rakshabandhan," in Dhanmandi under the leadership of Pankaj Kumar Sharma, general secretary and spokesperson of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee. Participants paid floral tributes before Sukhadia's portrait and reflected on his legacy.
Addressing the gathering, Sharma described Sukhadia as the architect of modern Rajasthan, saying his visionary leadership, welfare-oriented policies and development-focused governance laid a strong foundation for the state's progress.
He said Sukhadia's tenure witnessed landmark initiatives in education, irrigation, agriculture, rural development and social justice, helping transform Rajasthan and shape its modern identity. Sharma added that Sukhadia's life of public service, simplicity and commitment to development continues to inspire public representatives and society.
The seminar was attended by Ashok Tamboli, Subhash Chittora, Sanjay Mandawani, Mangilal Meghwal, Kripashankar Mishra, Shahid Hussain, Naresh Swami, Bharat Meena, Lata Meena, Sanyam Nagauri, Mahendra Purohit, Shivraj Singh, Rajendra Pallu Jain, Rohit Pandey, Prakash Dhakad, and other Congress leaders, party workers and prominent citizens.
