Udaipur’s Genevieve Lobo Excels in National Pistol Shooting Event
Udaipur: Genevieve Lobo from Udaipur secured an impressive 15th place in the Women’s Individual 10m Air Pistol event at the Late Jaspal Rana Memorial Cup, organized by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) in Dehradun. She scored 366 out of 400 in the pre-national tournament held from July 13 to 30, 2026. Competing against around 450 women shooters among more than 4,500 participants, Genevieve delivered a remarkable performance after qualifying through the state-level championship.
Currently working at a multinational company in Pune, Genevieve is an alumna of St. Mary’s School, Udaipur, and began pistol shooting less than 18 months ago. She trained under Coach Vijay Nayak in Udaipur before continuing her development with Coach Sneha in Pune. Genevieve credited her parents, Annie and Viren Lobo, along with her supportive workplace at HSBC, for helping her balance her career and sporting ambitions. She is now preparing for upcoming national competitions.
