Rajasthan Farmers' Commission Chairman Holds Farmers' Dialogue in Sri Ganganagar
Sri Ganganagar: Rajasthan Farmers' Commission Chairman C.R. Chaudhary interacted with farmers during a Krishak Samvad held at the Traders' Association Hall in the New Grain Market. The programme brought together progressive farmers, public representatives, and officials from the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments to discuss key agricultural issues and government schemes.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Chaudhary reaffirmed the State Government's commitment to enhancing farmers' income through modern, sustainable agriculture. He encouraged farmers to adopt water conservation, natural and organic farming practices, and assured them that their suggestions would be forwarded to the State Government. He also promised early release of pending subsidies for eligible farm pond (diggi) beneficiaries.
The dialogue focused on irrigation water, crop insurance, fertilizer availability, agricultural credit, organic farming, drip irrigation, and soil testing facilities. Farmers also demanded a Cotton Centre of Excellence, a Krishi Vigyan Kendra, improved irrigation infrastructure, and higher subsidies. Officials were directed to address farmers' concerns promptly and ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes.
