Musical Tribute to Mohammed Rafi Mesmerizes Audience in Udaipur

 

UDAIPUR: Music lovers gathered in large numbers as Suron Ki Mandali (SKM) organized a musical evening titled "Tum Mujhe Yun Bhula Na Paoge" to commemorate the death anniversary of legendary playback singer Mohammed Rafi at Madhushree Banquet Hall, Ashoka Palace, Udaipur.

The event, led by SKM Vice President C.P. Joshi, featured performances of Rafi's timeless classics by local artists, drawing enthusiastic applause and creating an emotional atmosphere among the audience.

SKM Founder and President Mukesh Madhvani described Mohammed Rafi as one of India's greatest playback singers and an enduring treasure of Indian music.

"His songs continue to inspire generations and remain deeply cherished by music lovers across the country," Madhvani said.

The chief guest, Narsa Ram Verma, Regional Manager of Oriental Insurance Company, said such musical programs play an important role in preserving India's rich cultural heritage. He commended Suron Ki Mandali for organizing the tribute and congratulated the participating artists.

SKM Secretary Arun Chaubisa said performing Rafi's songs is a unique experience because they beautifully blend themes of love, devotion, patriotism and human emotions.

Throughout the evening, artists performed a series of evergreen songs made famous by Mohammed Rafi. The performances received standing ovations and prolonged applause, while many attendees became emotional as they remembered the legendary singer.

Adding a special touch to the event, S.K. Mehta presented a handmade portrait of Mohammed Rafi to Suron Ki Mandali, which was widely appreciated by the audience.

The program featured performances by Mahavir Jain, Vishva Prabha Pandya, Hemant Kumar Chaubisa, Surendra Dutt Vyas, Yogesh Upadhyay, Nikhil Maheshwari, Kailash Kevaliya, Nutan Vedi, Rajkumar Bapna, Arun Chaubisa, Krishnakant Khandelwal, Sandeep Bansal, Rajendra Kumar Jain, Ajay Rathore, Kamal Kumar Juneja, Swapnalika Ajmera, Surya Prakash Shrimali, Narottam Gaur, Praveen Jain, S.D. Kaushal, Ashok Pariyani, Rajendra Prasad Sanadhya, Madhu Kevaliya, C.P. Jain, S.K. Mehta, Kishore Yadav, Kuber Sahlot, Kamlesh Kumawat, Madhu Sharma, Devendra Jain, Ashok Salvi, Divya Saraswat, Gopal Gothwal, Gaurav Swarnkar and Pawan Sharma.

The event was jointly anchored by Arun Chaubisa, Pawan Sharma and Gopal Gothwal.

Concluding the program, Kailash Kevaliya, Yogesh Upadhyay and Nikhil Maheshwari said the evening was an emotional and memorable celebration of Mohammed Rafi's musical legacy. They added that Suron Ki Mandali will continue to organize similar cultural and musical events under the SKM Super Singer banner in the future.
