Saxena Matiman Kayastha Sabha Celebrates First Foundation Day with Guru Purnima and Community Gathering
Udaipur, Saxena Matiman Kayastha Sabha, Udaipur, celebrated Guru Purnima, its First Foundation Day, and a Community Get-Together with great enthusiasm and dignity on Sunday at Shri Govind Public School, Gudli. More than 125 members from around 50 families participated in the event, reflecting the spirit of unity, service, cultural values, and family bonding within the community.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, floral tributes, and garlanding of the portraits of Lord Chitragupta and Goddess Saraswati. Members then chanted the Gayatri Mantra collectively three times, followed by a five-minute meditation session with the chanting of "Om Shri Chitraguptaya Namah." The spiritual session concluded with the chanting of Om three times, creating a devotional and uplifting atmosphere.
The guests and community members were warmly welcomed at the beginning of the function. The event was efficiently hosted by Dr. Mamta Saxena, whose smooth and well-organized compering ensured the program proceeded with dignity and discipline.
Presiding over the event, Tarun Saxena, President of the Sabha, said the occasion held special significance because the organization had received its official registration certificate on the auspicious day of Guru Purnima. Highlighting the Sabha's achievements over the past year, he spoke about educational assistance initiatives, distribution of notebooks, stationery and sweaters in government schools, the formation of women's and youth wings, talent recognition programs, and several social service activities. He emphasized that the organization's mission extends beyond conducting events to building a united, culturally rooted, and self-reliant community. He also called for greater efforts in education, healthcare, youth leadership, women's empowerment, and strengthening coordination among families.
Patrons Anil Saxena, Ravindra Prakash Saxena, and Yogesh Saxena also addressed the gathering, stressing that the true strength of the community lies in unity, service, and instilling strong values in the younger generation. They appreciated the Sabha's accomplishments within a short period and encouraged members to further strengthen the organization.
A major highlight of the event was the captivating cultural dance performances by Harshali Saxena and Havisha Saxena, which received enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.
As part of the celebrations, the Sabha organized a Community Service Felicitation Ceremony, honouring donors who contributed financially to its educational support campaign in government schools. Several distinguished community members were recognized for their generous contributions.
The Sabha also felicitated meritorious students who scored 75 percent and above, including Timon Saxena, Aryavrat Saxena, and Medini Saxena. Chitrangada Saxena and Aaliya Saxena were also honoured for their notable achievements. Senior members of the community were felicitated in recognition of their lifelong contributions and guidance.
A community dialogue session followed, during which members discussed the role of the women's and youth wings, organizational expansion, upcoming educational and social initiatives, and other issues concerning community welfare. Participants shared several constructive suggestions, which were welcomed by the leadership.
The organizers acknowledged the significant contribution of Dr. Vaibhav Saxena, who provided the venue at Shri Govind Public School, Gudli, and coordinated the arrangements for the successful execution of the event. Various committees responsible for worship arrangements, hospitality, registration, food, stage management, honours, games and entertainment, decoration, media, publicity, and health assistance were also appreciated for their dedicated efforts.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Vaibhav Saxena, who expressed gratitude to all guests, donors, volunteers, committee members, the women's and youth wings, the school management, and everyone who contributed directly or indirectly to the success of the celebration. The program ended on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, followed by a group photograph and a community lunch, leaving participants with a renewed sense of unity and commitment to service.
