###MPUAT NCC Cadets Excel at National Mountain Adventure Camp
Cadets complete 110-km trek, reach 10,000 feet during national camp in Manali
UDAIPUR, India (Aug. 6, 2026) — Two National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) have successfully completed the National Mountain Adventure Camp in Manali, showcasing endurance, leadership and adventure skills while bringing recognition to the university.
Khushi Nagda, a third-year B.Sc. Agriculture student, and Vaishali Meena, a fourth-year B.Sc. Agriculture student from Rajasthan College of Agriculture, represented the university's 6 Raj Air Squadron NCC Unit at the camp organized by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Manali, from July 27 to Aug. 8, 2026.
During the camp, the cadets underwent intensive training in rock climbing, rappelling, river crossing, trekking, camping, mountain rescue, leadership development and social awareness activities. They successfully completed a 110-kilometer trek and reached an altitude of 10,000 feet, demonstrating physical fitness, discipline, teamwork and leadership.
University officials said the achievement reflects the role of NCC in developing well-rounded students while providing opportunities to represent the institution at the national level.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pratap Singh, Rajasthan College of Agriculture Dean Dr. Lokesh Gupta, and Student Welfare Officer Dr. Vikramaditya Dave congratulated the cadets and wished them success in their future endeavors. They said NCC plays a vital role in instilling discipline, leadership, courage, patriotism and social responsibility among students, while national-level training camps contribute significantly to personality development.
NCC Caretaker Officer Ram Narayan Kumhar said the university's 6 Raj Air Squadron NCC Unit has consistently performed well at national training camps and other NCC activities. He said the university will continue encouraging more students to participate in leadership and adventure programs that promote discipline, teamwork and service to the nation.
