###Nadda, Bhajanlal launch Tiranga rally in Jaipur
JAIPUR, — Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Sunday flagged off the state-level Tiranga Rally under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign from Albert Hall to Badi Chaupar in Jaipur.
Despite light rain, both leaders participated in the march carrying the national flag, while residents welcomed the rally with flower showers at several points along the route.
Addressing the gathering, Nadda said the Tricolor is not merely the national flag but a symbol of India’s pride, dignity and the emotions of millions of citizens. He said every Indian should hold the flag in high regard and protecting its honor is a collective responsibility.
Nadda also referred to the Prevention of Insults to National Honors Amendment Act, 2026, describing it as an important step toward strengthening respect for national symbols. He said the national anthem, national song, national flag and the Constitution are symbols of India’s identity and any insult to them cannot be accepted.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said the Tricolor represents self-respect, patriotism and national pride. He said the Tiranga campaign launched under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has become a people’s movement that is strengthening patriotic values among the younger generation.
He said the sight of the Tricolor flying atop every home reflects citizens’ love and dedication to the nation, but added that the flag must be honored not only in homes but also in people’s hearts by living according to the ideals of national unity and consciousness.
Sharma noted that India will celebrate the 80th anniversary of Independence on Aug. 15 this year, and said the occasion is an opportunity to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters and martyrs. He described the Tricolor as a symbol of constitutional values, unity, integrity and social harmony.
Highlighting Rajasthan’s connection with the national flag, the chief minister said the first Tricolor hoisted on Independence Day was made in Rajasthan. Recalling his student days, he said groups of students would walk through the streets carrying the flag and singing patriotic songs.
During the program, Nadda and Sharma also visited the Amar Jawan Jyoti, where they paid tribute to the martyrs by laying wreaths.
The event was attended by Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa, MPs Madan Rathore and Dr. Radhamohan Das Agrawal, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, and a large number of public representatives and citizens.
