New Delhi: Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal stated that honoring distinguished personalities is a responsibility of society. In this context, honoring the eminent figures of Delhi is, in itself, an exemplary initiative. Meghwal was addressing the inaugural "Delhi Gaurav Samman" (Delhi Pride Award) ceremony, organized by the Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha at the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya and Library in the national capital, New Delhi, on Sunday. During the event, 31 distinguished personalities who have made remarkable contributions in various fields were honored with the Delhi Gaurav Samman. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Union Minister of Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and former Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', and former Governor of Rajasthan Kalraj Mishra. Meghwal remarked that the talents honored by the Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha are bringing glory to Delhi in their respective fields. He added that the responsibility of taking Indian culture forward lies with the youth. Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' stated that honoring distinguished personalities is a societal obligation. Such events provide inspiration to talents excelling in various sectors of society; they encourage others and guide the younger generation to follow in their footsteps. Appreciating the work being done by the Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha, former Governor Kalraj Mishra remarked that the organization's efforts to draw the country's youth back towards Indian culture are praiseworthy. He emphasized that instilling an understanding of Indian culture in the youth and inspiring them to preserve and promote it is the need of the hour. Pandit Suresh Mishra, President of the Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha, outlined the organization's activities, noting that it has been consistently organizing the Jaipur Marathon—one of the country's major marathons—for the past 16 years, attracting a large number of runners from both India and abroad. Additionally, the organization presents the "Bharat Gaurav Samman" to honor talent from India and overseas, hosting the award ceremony at venues ranging from the Indian Parliament to the Australian Parliament. The organization has also long been conducting social initiatives such as the *Nav-Samvatsar* (New Year) welcome celebration, the World Health Festival, and the campaign "Celebrate with Milk, Not Alcohol" (*Daru Nahi Doodh Se Karein*).
