‘Quit Drugs, Drink Milk’ campaign launched under Operation Prahar in Udaipur

Udaipur: In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” campaign, the New Vision Institute, in association with Shri Radhe Krishna Foundation, launched the “Quit Drugs, Drink Milk” campaign under Operation Prahar from the premises of Ghata Wali Mataji Temple on Sunday.

As part of the campaign, devotees and visitors at the temple were served Milk Rose and encouraged to stay away from intoxicants. Hundreds of young people also signed a pledge banner, promising not to consume drugs and to motivate others to remain drug-free.

Lokesh Patel, Director of Shri Radhe Krishna Foundation, said that women, men, children and youth participated enthusiastically in the initiative. He described addiction as “the gateway to destruction,” adding that substance abuse not only ruins an individual’s life but also pushes families into economic and social crisis. He stressed that every section of society must come forward to protect the younger generation from addiction.

Harshit Chaurdia, President of New Vision Institute, said that Operation Prahar would be implemented in three phases. The first phase focuses on large-scale public awareness about the harmful effects of drugs. The second phase will encourage addicted youth and others to take a pledge to quit. The third phase will involve effective de-addiction efforts in coordination with government agencies.

Foundation Secretary Harish Patel said that keeping youth away from drugs has become one of the most important social responsibilities today. He alleged that certain companies and groups are pushing young people towards addiction for financial gain and called for collective public participation to counter the menace.

The campaign was attended by Foundation and Institute volunteers, including centre in-charge Jagdish. The initiative received appreciation from local residents, particularly women and young girls, who described the “Quit Drugs, Drink Milk” campaign as a positive step toward securing a healthier and brighter future for the youth.
