Rotary Clubs Complete Cleaning of 1,152 Stepwells and Temples Across Udaipur Division

UDAIPUR,  Rotary Club of Udaipur Drishti and Rotary Club of Udaipur Meera marked the completion of their campaign to clean and conserve 1,152 stepwells and temples across the Udaipur division on the occasion of Hariyali Amavasya.

A programme was organized at the NICC to mark Hariyali Amavasya and celebrate the achievement under the joint service and conservation campaign undertaken by the two Rotary clubs.

The campaign focused on cleanliness and the conservation of historical heritage sites and traditional water sources. The initiative was aimed at creating greater awareness about the importance of preserving the region’s heritage and water resources.

Rotary Club of Udaipur Drishti President Vikramaditya Singh Krishnawat, Secretary Mohit Rajani, Public Image Director Parmeshwar Agrawal, Vice President Sunita Singhvi and Club Mentor Dr. Sweety Chhabra were present at the programme.

Rotary Club of Udaipur Meera President Kuku Likhari, Secretary Sneha K. Sharma and other club members also attended the event.

Club facilitator Rashmi Bohra spoke about the religious, cultural and environmental significance of Hariyali Amavasya and stressed the responsibility of society toward nature and environmental conservation.

The 1,152-site campaign was completed through the sustained efforts of club members and volunteers. Organizers said the initiative was an important step toward the cleanliness and preservation of Udaipur’s historical heritage and traditional water sources.

The club members also pledged to continue their efforts in the areas of cleanliness, environmental conservation, community service and heritage preservation.
