Banswara, A grand Shivarchan Mahotsav was held on Monday night at Shri Peetambara Ashram under the auspices of the Gayatri Mandal on the occasion of Som Pradosh and Maas Shivratri. The event was marked by deep devotion and spiritual fervor.
As per the age-old Vedic traditions and Shaiva practices of the Vagad region, a Rudrarchan Abhishek ritual was conducted under the guidance of Acharya Pt. Rakesh Shukla and co-Acharya Pt. Ashish Pandya (Pindarma). The chief performer, Pt. Ashish Adhikari, performed the sacred abhishek of Narmadeshwar Mahadev after offering Panchadev worship through Vedic chants and Puranic mantras.
Shaiva practitioners from the Gayatri Mandal Pradosh Parishad who participated included Pandits Manohar H. Joshi, Dromil Trivedi, Anant Joshi, Dr. Naveen Upadhyay, Chandresh Vyas, Anil Pandya, Madhusudan Vyas, Prateek Pandya (Pindarma), Ramesh Rewashankar Bhatt, Jay Rana, Lalit Acharya, and Manoj Vaishnav.
The celebration featured the collective recitation of Shaiva hymns including Shiv Mahimna Stotra, Pradosh Stotra, Shivaashtak, and a group chanting of the Panchakshar Mantra.
Advisors and devotees from the Gayatri Mandal—such as Pt. Trambakeshwar Thakor, Pt. Ramshankar Joshi, Pankaj Purohit, Pt. Manoj Narhari Bhatt, Yash Saraf, Pushpa Vyas, Dr. Manisha Upadhyay, Renu Purohit, Sharda Maida, Teerth Upadhyay, Hans Vyas 'Janu', Narasimha devotee Pt. Anil NH Bhatt, and Nikunj Soni 'Nikku'—also took part.
The festival concluded with a collective aarti and pushpanjali ritual led by chief performer Pt. Ashish Adhikari. Earlier in the day, Hanuman Puja and Vishnu Sahasranama recitations were also performed.
