From Dancing in Chorus to Challenging Superstars, a Journey of Triumph

Whenever the name Etawah district in Uttar Pradesh is mentioned, it conjures images of political stalwarts like Mulayam Singh Yadav or Akhilesh Yadav in people's minds. However, from the same region, Karhal in Mainpuri, emerged a rising star in Bhojpuri cinema, Ravi Yadav, gradually etching his presence in the industry, leaving everyone astounded at his journey from a chorus dancer to standing shoulder to shoulder with Bhojpuri superstars.

For the past 11 years, Ravi Yadav has been active in the film industry, initially starting his journey as a chorus dancer in songs. However, changing times and the peaks of destiny have brought him today's stature, rubbing shoulders with the superstars of Bhojpuri cinema. From initially seeking work through social networking sites like Facebook, Ravi Yadav is now being approached by producers and directors.

Reflecting on his journey, Ravi Yadav recalls that when he first thought of entering this industry, he had no connections or acquaintances here. He began his career by working as a dancer in music videos, and his performances in several hit songs left a lasting impression. Despite facing initial setbacks, Ravi Yadav's perseverance and dedication never wavered. Alongside struggling in the industry, he tirelessly worked on maintaining his physique, spending hours in the gym every day to make himself presentable to filmmakers.

During the initial days, Ravi Yadav used to contact people through Facebook, but many didn't respond, often ignoring his messages. However, as times changed and people witnessed his hard work, the same efforts are now bearing fruit, with producers and directors actively seeking him out.

In the early days of his film career, Ravi Yadav did not achieve the expected success. Balancing his studies at Delhi University with his passion for acting proved to be a challenge. But his determination to make a full-time career in acting led him to convince his family about his interest in acting. From then on, success began to find its way to him, and that success continues unabated to this day.

Ravi Yadav is currently gearing up for the release of his film "Aag Aur Suhaag." Recently, a song from this film was released, receiving immense love from the audience. However, he expresses disappointment with the current state of Bhojpuri cinema, hoping for a day when the audience will flock to theaters to watch his performances. He emphasizes that cinema's essence lies in the interaction with the audience in theaters, a sentiment that the big producers and directors of Bhojpuri cinema should understand sooner rather than later, or else cinema will just become a mere kitchen tool instead of an art form.

Ravi Yadav, famously known as the "Chambal Boy" in the Bhojpuri film industry, has also played cricket in the Celebrity Cricket League with Bhojpuri Dabangs and was among the top 13 players in the CCL season of 2023.

As for his upcoming films, "Rudradev" and "Sapnon Ka Safar" are listed for release. Additionally, "Neelkanth," the first superhero film in Bhojpuri cinema history, is in the making. Speaking about "Neelkanth," Ravi Yadav says that this film will be remembered in Bhojpuri film history for a long time to come.
