Banswara,Under the New National Education Policy (NEP), the existing 10+2 system in schools will soon be replaced with the progressive 5+3+3+4 academic structure. The new framework is expected to be implemented across schools over the next two to three years, ushering in significant curricular and pedagogical changes.
Starting from Grade 6, vocational education will be introduced, followed by mandatory skill development and internships from Grade 9. In higher education, institutions will adopt features such as multiple entry and exit options and Academic Bank of Credits. To familiarize students with these concepts, workshops will be organized in colleges starting July 2025.

NEP Nodal Officer Prof. Rajesh Joshi emphasized that integrating India’s traditional knowledge systems across all education levels is a core objective of NEP 2020. The policy aims not only at academic excellence but also focuses on equipping students with critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, creativity, communication skills, and digital literacy to meet 21st-century challenges.
