Mumbai : On the sacred land of Siddha Kshetra Shri Sammed Shikhar, the Mahavirayatan Foundation will organize for the very first time a grand World Friendship Festival on September 12, 2025. Under the inspiration and guidance of Swami Devendra Brahmachari Ji, this festival will be marked as a historic occasion, carrying forth the eternal message of peace, harmony, and non-violence for humanity.
On this occasion, Swami Devendra Brahmachari Ji of Mahavirayatan Foundation said:
“The message of Lord Mahavir is not limited only to the Jain community; it is a guiding light for all of humanity. He proclaimed—‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramayah’ (May all be happy, may all be free from illness). Today, when humanity is grappling with violence, intolerance, and conflict, this sacred land of Sammed Shikhar is set to herald a new dawn of compassion, non-violence, and friendship for the entire world. This festival will weave together the diversity of religions, cultures, and philosophies into a single thread, creating a global family where peace is the ultimate goal and compassion the foundation of life.”
The chief guests of the event will be the Honorable Governor of Bihar, Shri Arif Mohammad Khan, and the Union Minister of State for Defence, Shri Sanjay Seth. Speaker of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly Shri Ravindra Nath Mahato, State Minister Smt. Deepika Pandey Singh, Member of Parliament from Giridih Shri Chandraprakash Chaudhary, senior leader Shri K. Raju, along with prominent industrialists, litterateurs, film personalities, and distinguished figures from society will grace the occasion and enhance the dignity of the festival.
During the auspicious period of Chaturmas, revered Jain monks and saints residing at Sammed Shikhar will also bless the event with their spiritual presence. The program will commence at 11:30 AM at Gunayatan, Sammed Shikhar Ji, featuring cultural performances, inspiring discourses, and messages that will encourage the masses to move forward on the path of non-violence, compassion, friendship, and coexistence. Personalities who have made remarkable contributions in the fields of social and educational service will also be felicitated on this occasion.
