Udaipur, A meeting focused on resolving various challenges faced by differently-abled individuals was held at Fateh Senior Secondary School under the chairmanship of Karni Lal Sharma, President of the Rajasthan Viklang Kalyan Samiti, Jaipur.
Sharma highlighted several pressing concerns, including the complications created by the Transport Department when differently-abled persons attempt to sell their old vehicles. He also advocated for filling the reserved posts for differently-abled individuals through vertical reservation at the initial stage, followed by complete fulfillment via horizontal reservation.
Further, he demanded that differently-abled employees be exempted from the general transfer policy. Another key proposal submitted to the state government was the provision of assistive devices such as crutches and hearing aids free of cost under the RGHS scheme.
The meeting was attended by the committee’s state vice president Ravindra Pandey, secretary Dayanand Soni, organization minister Shrichand Ji, coordinator Sanjay Paneri, and Mrs. Indu Jain.
