Rajasthan Mission 2030: Intensive Consultation Meeting Organized by Tribal Regional Development Department

Udaipur, In line with Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot's aim to increase the pace of Rajasthan's progress tenfold, a vision document for Rajasthan Mission 2030 is being prepared. In this regard, the Tribal Regional Development Department organized a state-level intensive consultation program at Sabhagar.

During the program, representatives from various tribal regions of the state, including stakeholders, intellectuals, community representatives, social workers, officials, and employees, shared their suggestions.

At the outset, the Tribal Regional Development Commissioner, Tara Chand Meena, explained the concept of Rajasthan Mission 2030, highlighting that district-level and regional-level programs have been organized in several tribal-majority districts and regions across the state from August 23 until now. This state-level program was the culmination of these efforts.

The program provided information on the achievements of Mission 2030 and the Tribal Development Department through PowerPoint presentations. Additionally, short films were screened on departmental activities. Following this, participants shared their suggestions.

While presiding over the meeting, Alok Gupta, Principal Secretary of the Tribal Regional Development Department, mentioned that the suggestions presented during the program would be incorporated into the vision document and presented by the department. The program was attended by MLA Nagaraj Meena, Deputy Chairman of Marwar Development Board Kirti Singh, Scheduled Tribes Advisory Committee member Lakshmi Narayan Pandya, Scheduled Tribes Commissioner Smt. Prabha Gautam, T.R.I Director Dr. Taru Surana, along with representatives and officials from various districts.

Here are some of the suggestions presented during the program:

1. Increasing the number of tribal hostels.
2. Renovating dilapidated school buildings.
3. Filling vacant teacher positions.
4. Creating model grounds in every panchayat.
5. Raising awareness about the PESA (Panchayats Extension to Scheduled Areas) Act.
6. Resolving encroachments on forest land.
7. Accelerating the process of forest rights.
8. Establishing digital libraries in panchayats.
9. Providing insurance for forest laborers.
10. Opening a college in the Devla region.
11. Conducting regional-level military recruitment drives.

These suggestions will likely contribute to shaping the Rajasthan Mission 2030 vision document.
