VC Appeals for 'A Plus' Grade Re-evaluation

Mohanlal Sukhadia University Receives 'A' Grade from NAAC

Udaipur. In a recent evaluation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) has been awarded an 'A' grade. This assessment is a crucial benchmark for universities in terms of their academic and infrastructural standards. However, despite receiving a commendable 'A' grade, the university's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sunita Mishra, has raised a request for re-evaluation with the aspiration of achieving the coveted 'A Plus' grade.

According to Dr. Kunjan Acharya, the university's spokesperson, a comprehensive inspection was carried out by a six-member NAAC committee earlier this month. Subsequently, the university was assigned an 'A' grade with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.12. While this is a noteworthy achievement, Vice-Chancellor Professor Sunita Mishra believes that the university's performance warrants an 'A Plus' grade.

In light of the minimal difference in scores between 'A' and 'A Plus' grades, Professor Mishra filed an online appeal for re-evaluation on the NAAC portal. The appeal asserts that the university's accomplishments, both in academic and extracurricular domains, justify a reconsideration of the grading.

Professor Mishra has expressed confidence that a re-evaluation will result in the university being awarded the 'A Plus' grade, signifying an even higher level of excellence. The official certificate confirming the 'A' grade is anticipated, and the outcome of the re-evaluation is expected to be announced within the next week.

This news underscores the university's commitment to maintaining high academic standards and its pursuit of continuous improvement in various facets of education and administration.
