Dr. Bekzod Shemseev Highlights World Bank Projects Operated

Dr. Bekzod Shemseev, the team leader of the National Agricultural Higher Education Project, operated by the World Bank, provided an overview of the university's activities under the World Bank project across various units. He engaged in dialogue with the university's Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Ajeet Kumar Karnatak, and officials, and visited the newly renovated laboratories of the Dairy and Food Engineering College, Udaipur. Dr. Shemseev also commended the students' products being developed in the Experimental Learning Unit of the College of Technology and Engineering, Udaipur, and praised their innovative work.

During the event at the university's auditorium, Dr. Bekzod interacted individually with members and students who had undergone training abroad as part of the World Bank project. He encouraged them to utilize new techniques based on their training experiences to introduce new projects and work on them at the university.

Dr. Ajeet Kumar Karnatak, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, highlighted the multidimensional development of the university through this project, particularly emphasizing the academic and cultural development of undergraduate students through overseas training. Maharana Pratap Agriculture and Technology University, Udaipur, had been implementing this project with financial assistance from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the World Bank for the past five years, from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2023.

Dr. P.K. Singh, the project coordinator, presented a report on various activities carried out under the project to Dr. Bekzod Shemseev, the team leader of the World Bank. Lastly, Dr. Lokesh Gupta, the Dean of the College of Dairy and Food Engineering, Udaipur, welcomed Dr. Bekzod Shemseev for his first visit to the university and expressed gratitude while also extending thanks to other university officials.
