Review Meeting Chaired by the Hon’ble Governor on Progress of State-Funded Universities

Focus on NAAC Accreditation and Implementation of NEP 2020

A high-level review meeting was chaired by the Hon’ble Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, to assess the progress of NAAC Accreditation and the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in state-funded universities. The meeting witnessed the presence of senior officials from various concerned departments, the Secretary to the Chancellor, and Vice Chancellors of five universities.

During the meeting, the Governor emphasized the urgent and effective implementation of NEP 2020 across all universities. He appreciated the institutions that have made significant progress in this direction and firmly stated that NAAC accreditation is mandatory for every university to ensure quality in higher education.

On this occasion, the Hon’ble Governor released a special report titled “Reimagine, Reinvest, Reshape: Innovations in Higher Education in Rajasthan as per NEP 2020”. This report was jointly prepared by the Vice Chancellors of Central University of Rajasthan, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, and Maharaja Ganga Singh University.

The Governor praised the report and congratulated Dr. Ajeet Kumar Karnatak, highlighting that Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur is the first university in India to implement the recommendations of the New Education Policy. He encouraged other universities to adopt NEP 2020 at the earliest.
