Udaipur – Rajasthan College of Agriculture observed Anti-Ragging Day on Friday with a pledge to eliminate ragging and spread awareness about its harmful impact on students and society.
Ragging remains a disturbing reality within India’s higher education system. Despite the fact that it has claimed hundreds of innocent lives and ruined the careers of thousands of bright students in recent years, many still wrongly perceive it as a way of “introduction” or a so-called “rite of passage” into college life.
Speaking as the chief guest, Dean Dr. Manoj Kumar Mehla emphasized that the adverse consequences of this practice have been witnessed across institutions, and it is the collective responsibility of students to use the platform of education for new hopes and positive beginnings. Dr. K. K. Yadav provided a detailed overview of ragging and its legal implications.
On this occasion, Dr. S. S. Lakhawat (ADSW), Dr. C. P. Nama, and Ram Narayan Kumhar were also present.
