Celebration of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's 133rd Birth Anniversary at RCA

On April 14, 2024, Rajasthan Agricultural University, Udaipur, commemorated the 133rd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The event was graced by Dr. Sudha Choudhary, Head of the Department of Philosophy at MLSU, as the chief guest. In her address, she highlighted Dr. Ambedkar's multifaceted contributions as a modern Indian architect, renowned economist, architect of the constitution, legal luminary, politician, and social reformer. She emphasized that his progressive works and luminous personality continue to inspire millions.

Dr. B.R. Ambekar, honored with the Bharat Ratna, is celebrated worldwide on April 14th as Ambedkar Jayanti. Dr. B.R. Bhamaniya, former founder of the Science College, MLSU, spoke about Dr. Ambedkar's exceptional academic journey, having earned doctorates in economics from both Columbia University and the London School of Economics. Despite starting his career as a lawyer, Dr. Ambedkar dedicated his entire life to political activism for the real freedom, social freedom, economic freedom, and political representation of India's oppressed and marginalized communities.

The program, chaired by Dr. Arvind Verma, Director of Research, saw the participation of esteemed guests including Dr. Shyamlal Salvi (Assistant Director), Dr. R.L. Soni (Senior Scientist, Agricultural Science Center, Vallabhnagar), Dr. R.N. Bunkar (Assistant Professor), Dr. B.G. Chhipa (Assistant Professor), and Mr. Pramod Kumar (Seed Officer), among others, along with students.

Gajendra Chawla, the University Chancellor, expressed gratitude to all attendees. The event served as a platform to reflect on Dr. Ambedkar's legacy and the enduring relevance of his principles in contemporary society.
