Udaipur, A The Faculty of Management, Pacific University, Udaipur, commenced the academic session of MBA third semester students with a three-day orientation programme focused on enhancing employability skills. Designed to prepare students for their future careers, the sessions exposed them to professional dimensions of corporate life.
On the first day, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Prof. Dipin Mathur, inspired students to prepare with dedication, recognize their strengths and weaknesses, and continuously polish their personalities to shine like diamonds. He emphasized curiosity for learning, positive outlook, and resilience as key traits for growth. Case studies and interactive sessions on decision-making strategies were conducted by Prof. Mathur and Dr. Narendra Singh Chawda, helping students understand the application of strategic thinking in the corporate world.
The second day began with a session by Mr. Vishu Rai, General Manager HR, Econ Group, who guided students on transitioning from campus to corporate, stressing communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making as essential skills. This was followed by a workshop on emotional intelligence by Prof. Pushpakant Shakdwipi, who explained methods of self-awareness, emotional regulation, motivation, and handling challenges effectively.
On the third day, Mr. Manish Garhwal, Alumni and Head of Operations & Logistics at Indian Phosphate Limited, delivered insights on corporate conduct. Later, Dr. Gaurav Joshi and Ms. Ayushi Mali engaged students in role plays on HR, finance, and marketing, enabling them to practice real-life scenarios such as interviews, conflict resolution, and customer service.
The programme was inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony and guided by the entire faculty team. Coordinators Dr. Pallavi Mehta and Dr. Jaya Sharma highlighted the importance of the “Campus to Corporate – The Connecting Links” initiative, urging students to be career-conscious from the beginning. They emphasized that the Faculty of Management aims to ensure holistic student development by introducing them to new opportunities in entrepreneurship and employment.
