Bhilwara – Sangam University, Bhilwara has been conferred the prestigious "Emerging University Award" at the National Geospatial Awards 2025, organized by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. The award ceremony took place at the IIT Bombay campus in Mumbai as part of their annual celebration of excellence in geospatial science and technology.
The National Geospatial Awards are a flagship initiative of IIT Bombay’s FOSSEE GIS Project, supported by the Ministry of Education, Government of India under the National Mission on Education through ICT. These awards recognize outstanding contributions in geospatial education, innovation, and application across India.
Receiving the award on behalf of Sangam University were Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Karunesh Saxena and Dr. Lokesh Kumar Tripathi, Associate Professor, Department of Geoinformatics. The award is a testament to the university’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, industry collaboration, and student-centric development.
