Talik Sahu Community Organizes Third Ideal Mass Wedding Convention and Auspicious Events in Pratapgarh

The Talik Sahu community in Pratapgarh district, Rajasthan, is set to organize the Third Ideal Mass Wedding Convention and auspicious events including Tulsi Vivah and Maa Karmadevi procession on April 18, 2024. The convention will be held at Sukhadia Stadium Ground, High School, Neemuch Road, Pratapgarh.

The inauguration of the convention's brochure was conducted by the state president of Rajasthan Provincial Talik Sahu Mahasabha, Devi Lal Sahu, and other officials. Shiv Lal Sahu, the district president of the Talik Sahu community in Pratapgarh, stated that the convention aims to promote unity, harmony, and equality within the community while curbing unnecessary expenses.

Highlighting the schedule of events, Shiv Lal Sahu mentioned that the mass wedding convention will commence with the installation of Ganpati in the morning at 10:00 AM followed by the arrival of registered brides and grooms at 10:30 AM. A communal feast will be served starting from 11:00 AM, followed by the Maa Karmadevi procession and Thakurji's wedding procession from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM. The program will conclude with a ceremonial arch program at 4:00 PM and the honor of guests at 5:00 PM, followed by the auspicious wedding rituals at dusk and departure at 7:00 PM.

The organizing committee will distribute gifts including silver anklets, gold mangalsutra with six pearls, silver utensils, bedding sets, chairs, helmets, etc. The registration fee for couples from the opposite party is set at ₹11,501 (Eleven thousand five hundred and one rupees), and only adult couples will be registered. During registration, parents are required to submit the Aadhar card of the bride and groom, 2 photos, address proof, bank passbook copy, and registration fee. The last date for registration is April 10, 2024, and all disputes will be resolved within Pratapgarh jurisdiction.

Moreover, the Rajasthan government will provide a grant of ₹21,000 (Twenty-one thousand rupees) per couple, with the condition that either the bride or groom must be a native of Rajasthan.
