Program on Women's Health and Awareness of Healthy Lifestyle for Students

On the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratri and New Year, in honor of women, a program on free eye check-ups and awareness of healthy lifestyle was organized for female students and employees of Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies (GITS) under the joint initiative of N.C.C., N.S.S., and Geetanjali University.

Dr. N.S. Rathore, the director of the institute, emphasized women empowerment, stating that women are the epitome of creation. It is our duty to nurture, refine, and educate this creative power. Our country is progressing rapidly with enthusiasm. However, we can sustain this progress only when we provide women with equal education, opportunities for advancement, and security. In this context, discussions were held on vaccination for prevention of infections, importance of hygiene during menstruation, and the necessity of HPV vaccination, in the presence of Dr. Shabdika Kulshreshtha. Additionally, under the supervision of Dr. Arpita Sharma, a free eye care camp was organized for female students and employees, where they actively participated, making the program successful.

Speaking on the occasion, the institute's financial controller, B.L. Jangid, said that security and a healthy lifestyle are everyone's equal rights. Organizing this program to reach out to women is a small step taken by the GITS family.
