Four-Day Event on Amar Chand Barwa Jayanti from July 11

Udaipur – A four-day program to commemorate the birth anniversary of Thakur Amar Chand Barwa will be held from July 11, jointly organized by the Amar Chand Barwa Smriti Sansthan and Barwa Research Chair. A detailed planning meeting for the event was held at the Somani Auditorium, Shramjeevi College, under the chairmanship of Colonel Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot.

In his address, Colonel Sarangdevot stated that students will now be able to pursue Ph.D. research on the unexplored aspects of Thakur Amar Chand Barwa’s life through Vidya Bhawan’s research center. He emphasized that the active support of historians will be essential in this academic endeavor.

Dignitaries on the dais, Adv. Rao Ratan Singh and Laxman Singh Karnawat, underlined the importance of bringing the life stories of such great personalities to the younger generation. They committed full moral, physical, and financial support to this mission.

The newly appointed President of the Barwa Smriti Sansthan, Prof. Vimal Sharma, announced the schedule finalized after detailed discussions:

• July 11, 8 AM – Vehicle rally and floral tribute from proposed Barwa Circle at Ashoka Palace to Aayad Samadhi Sthal.

• July 12, 11 AM – Seminar on “Water Management in Mewar Through the Ages”, Seminar Hall, Vidyapeeth University, Pratapnagar.

• July 13, 8 AM – Soldier’s Salute Program at Toap Mata Burj, opposite City Station.

• July 14, 8 AM – Hawan ceremony at Gayatri Shakti Peeth, Sarvaritu Vilas.

The event began with a welcome address by General Secretary Jai Kishan Chaube, and various dignitaries including Indra Singh Ranawat, Gyan Ji Soni, Adv. Bharat Kumawat, Dr. Rajendra Nath Purohit, Dr. Ramakant, Dr. J.K. Ojha, and Harish Suhalka shared their thoughts.

The program was conducted by Pramila Sharad Vyas and concluded with the National Anthem.
