CPS Celebrates Hariyali Amavasya with Joyful Sawan Utsav Fair

Udaipur,  Central Public Sr. Sec. School, New Bhupalpura, Udaipur, celebrated the Sawan Utsav with great enthusiasm through a vibrant Hariyali Amavasya Mela on its campus.

The event was graced by distinguished guests including Dr. Rekha Soni (President, Rotary Club Udaipur Meera), Mrs. Kavita Baldwa (Secretary), and club members Mrs. Madhu Sareen, Mrs. Riya Soni, Mrs. Sangeeta Mundra, Mrs. Jyoti Tank, Mrs. Archana Vyas, and Mrs. Tarika Bhanu Pratap (Rotary Panna), who added elegance and meaning to the celebration.

Organized specially for students and parents, the fair aimed to foster values of teamwork and environmental awareness among children. As part of Rotary Club Udaipur Meera’s Sukun Mela Series - 2, a special eco-awareness stall was set up with the theme “Har Ghar Ek Doctor – Plant a Medicinal Tree.” Another key message promoted during the event was: “Take only what you need, don’t let it go to waste.”

Under the guidance of teachers, students from all four houses – Blue, Green, Saffron, and Yellow – put up food and game stalls that delighted the attendees. The color green, symbolizing prosperity and nature, dominated the decor and attire. Everyone, from students to the Chairperson, Directors, Principal, and Chief Guests, donned green outfits in harmony with the theme.

The event featured a lively cultural program, fun-filled swings, and vibrant stalls that created a festive atmosphere. Children and parents enjoyed the various rides and games. Awards were given to students dressed in the best green attire.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Chairperson Mrs. Alka Sharma, Administrative Director Mr. Anil Sharma, Director Dr. Deepak Sharma, Principal Mrs. Poonam Rathore, Joint Director Mr. Vikramjeet Singh Shekhawat, Administrator Mr. Sunil Babel, and Headmistress Mrs. Krishna Shaktawat.
