Udaipur: The U-14 girls’ basketball team of St. Mary’s Convent Senior Secondary School, New Fatehpura, Udaipur has achieved a historic milestone by winning the CBSE National Basketball Championship. Demonstrating exceptional skill, determination, and teamwork, the team emerged victorious and claimed the prestigious national title.
The championship was held from September 9 to 13, 2025, at Tagore Senior Secondary School, Mahendragarh, Haryana, bringing together CBSE cluster-winning teams from across the country. Under the guidance of coaches Mr. Narendra Singh Chauhan and Mr. Nitin Menaria, the St. Mary’s team overcame every challenge, displaying consistent discipline and strategy, and triumphed in the finals to become national champions.
School Principal Sister Kiran Jojo expressed immense pride in this historic achievement, noting that the team’s dedication, rigorous practice, and tactical acumen were key to their success. A grand felicitation ceremony was organized at the school campus to celebrate this golden victory.
This victory also serves as a landmark achievement during the school’s 75th Diamond Jubilee celebrations, further enhancing the institution’s legacy. The CBSE National Basketball champions will now represent the school at the upcoming SGFI National Games.
