Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath’ Set for May 16 Release

Under the banner of Chauhan Studios, the period action film ‘Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath’ is all set to release worldwide on May 16, distributed by Panorama Studios. Produced by Kanu Chauhan and directed by Prince Dhiman, the film features Suniel Shetty in the powerful role of Vegrad Ji, a fearless warrior.

This epic saga marks the first time Suniel Shetty shares screen space with Vivek Oberoi, Sooraj Pancholi, and debutante Akanksha Sharma. During a recent trailer launch event, Suniel Shetty spoke passionately about telling stories of Indian warriors, pointing out how school curriculums often omit their legacies, instead highlighting figures like Aurangzeb and Akbar. “It’s time we tell the untold stories,” he emphasized.

Shetty also shed light on how he was drawn to the story of Hamirji Gohil, the central figure of the film, stating, “India has 28 states and 9 union territories, each with its own warrior legend. We must make films that celebrate our heroes so that every Indian knows about them.”

‘Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath’ promises high-octane action, gripping historical drama, and a much-needed tribute to India’s forgotten warriors.
