In collaboration with the Manjari Foundation and Sakhi Prosperity Committee, the Sakhi Utsav celebration was organized at Jawar Stadium and the Zinc Smelter premises in Debari.

The program held in Jawar witnessed the presence of distinguished guests including Ram Murari, CEO of IBU Mines, Premnath Varishth, President of the City Panchayat of Chanavda, Jatin Gupta, Branch Manager of Udaipur, India Post Payments Bank, among others. Similarly, in Debari, prominent figures like Police Deputy Superintendent Chetna Bhati, Dr. Rajashree Gandhi, Mansi Tyagi - CEO of IBU, and dignitaries from Debari Lead-Zinc Smelter were present.

During the event in Jawar, CEO Ram Murari encouraged all Sakhi participants to be independent, raise their voices, ask the right questions at the right time, and never give up. He extended heartfelt wishes for International Women's Day and emphasized the need to promote women's empowerment. Murari called upon all Sakhi to work together to fulfill their dreams.

In Debari, Chetna Bhati expressed her aspirations for not just daughters and women but also for future leading women. She advocated shifting the focus from extravagant wedding expenses to education and empowerment. Bhati emphasized the importance of self-confidence, eagerness to learn new skills, and networking for each other's aspirations. She envisioned a story where women become the driving force for a bright, prosperous future.

Various sports competitions and cultural events were organized, including sack race, spoon race, musical chairs, tug of war, and football. The enthusiasm of women was palpable despite the rising temperature.

The event was organized under CSR, witnessing the participation of more than 2800 Sakhi, rural women, female employees, and members of Zinc families, who contributed to strengthening families, communities, and nations.

The participants and winners of sports competitions were felicitated. Presidents of Sakhi Shakti Committee, Jawar Manju Meena, and Sakhi Inspiration Mahasangh, Debari President Durga Nagda, shared details of the year-long project.

The women's groups presented folk dances and cultural performances, adding to the vibrancy of the event. Information about CSR projects, Sakhi, Solution, Zinc Skills Education Sambal, micro-enterprises, and products and services of India Post were shared through stalls.

The Sakhi program is being conducted by Hindustan Zinc in five districts - Udaipur, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Chittorgarh, and Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. More than 400 women's groups around the Jawar Mines area and 394 Sakhi groups around Debari have benefited from these initiatives.
