ZINC FOOTBALL ACADEMY CLINCHES VICTORY AT THEIR FORTRESS IN ZAWAR

Udaipur : Zinc Football Academy - a CSR initiative of Hindustan Zinc, is back playing at the Rajasthan League A-Division 2023-24 after clinching the coveted trophy back in 2021. The Hindustan Zinc’s Academy, comprising mostly of under-20 players, defeated Champion Maker FC from Ajmer 1-0 in their first home match at the Zawar Stadium. 18-year-old Subhash Damor scored the wonderful winning goal in the first half from a perfectly lobbed through-ball by Mohammed Adnan.
With this comfortable win, the Zawar-based Academy now sits 4th in the league table, having won three and lost two matches. Zinc Football Academy have previously defeated Royal FC Jaipur 5-1 and Jaipur Futsal Club 4-1 in their away matches. The young team will hit the road again to face Sunrise FC in Jaipur on Saturday, April 13th, followed by ASL FC on April 16th.
The Rajasthan League champions will be nominated for the I-League 3rd Division in the 2024-25 season.
Hindustan Zinc, has been associated with sports and has been promoting sportsmen for almost 5 decades when the company made its football stadium at Zawar in Rajasthan in 1976.
