Kota, Former MLA and senior Congress leader Prahlad Gunjal strongly criticized BJP Rajasthan in-charge Radha Mohan Agrawal over his recent remarks at the Prabuddh Jan Sammelan held in Kota. Gunjal said that while Agrawal had come to address an intellectual gathering, he ironically left behind an example of poor intellect and mental bankruptcy.
Targeting Agrawal’s statement about Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Gunjal said, “In the Indian parliamentary system, the position of Leader of Opposition is the second most respected after the Prime Minister. The kind of language Radha Mohan used for such a dignified post shows a complete lack of political maturity.”
Agrawal had controversially said during his speech, “We pray to God that Rahul Gandhi lives a long life so that Congress continues to be destroyed.” Reacting to this, Gunjal remarked, “Using such light and unparliamentary language only exposes the arrogance and intoxication of power.”
He further stated that while Congress had faced a political downfall after six decades in power, it is now witnessing a resurgence. “I pray to God to bless the BJP with wisdom so that they appoint leaders like Radha Mohan Agrawal in all states. With such undignified behavior and loose talk, the public will ensure BJP is voted out of power not in sixty years, but in the next sixty months,” he concluded.
