#### Sacred Soil from Birthplace of Birsa Munda Reaches Rajasthan

Udaipur, Sacred soil from Ulihatu, Jharkhand – the birthplace of revered tribal leader Birsa Munda – was ceremoniously brought to Rajasthan by the workers of Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad. The soil was welcomed with great devotion and enthusiasm in Udaipur.

Birsa Munda, who led movements in tribal regions of Jharkhand against British rule and resisted religious conversion conspiracies, awakened a strong sense of identity, pride, and resistance among tribal youth and society. His fearless struggle greatly unsettled the British, who, through conspiracy, poisoned him in jail at a very young age. His legacy continues to inspire tribal pride and the fight for cultural dignity.

To honor his contributions, the soil from his birthplace has been brought to Rajasthan and enshrined in a sacred urn at the central office of Rajasthan Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad, Gauri Chowk, Udaipur. Parishad President and former IPS officer Dr. T.C. Damor shared that during a recent national workers’ meeting in Ranchi, Birsa Munda’s great-grandson, Shri Sukhram Munda, highlighted his life and philosophy. Inspired by this, the Parishad initiated the plan of sending sacred soil to all states across the country.

Parishad General Secretary Virendra Pancholi informed that Rajasthan’s Tribal Development and Welfare Minister, Babulal Kharadi, performed the rituals and welcomed the sacred urn. Tribal youth greeted the urn with traditional instruments in a grand procession.

On this occasion, Parishad State Organizing Minister Jagdish Kulmi, Co-Organizing Minister Harratan Damor, Provincial Patron Gopal Lal, Mohan Jain, and leading workers from 12 districts were present.
