Efforts to Inspire Voter Turnout Continue with Awareness Rallies and Educational Initiatives

In an ongoing effort to motivate the public to vote, a voter awareness rally was organized as part of the "Saptarangi Week" on Monday under the guidance of District Election Officer Arvind Poswal for the Lok Sabha general elections 2024. The rally was flagged off by Chief Executive Officer Kirti Rathore and Deputy Director of Women Empowerment Sanjay Joshi. According to District Coordinator of Sweep Activities Dr. Devi Lal Garg, approximately 1200 women dressed in orange attire gathered at the Commissioner's Office and proceeded from Fatehpura Circle, Sukhadia Circle, and Chetak Circle to the All India Radio Center.

Addressing the rally, CEO Kirti Rathore urged all women to vote. In attendance at the event were CDO Mrs. Saroj Devpura, Mrs. Garima Upadhyay, Mrs. Nidhi Rani Joshi, and other officials and staff. Additionally, various events were held in Udaipur city to promote voter awareness and encourage participation. These included a poster competition and slogan writing at St. Gregory's School, a rally at The Vision Academy School, and a street play by students at Central Academy School in Fatehpura. In the Salumber Assembly constituency, a rangoli competition and a women's march were organized by NREGA workers in Gram Panchayat Khodi Mahudi. 

Furthermore, the Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry advocated for a holiday on polling day and encouraged maximum voter turnout during a meeting. Additionally, the President of the Kaladwas Chamber of Commerce urged all representatives and employees to participate in the democratic festival. The "Mhāro Keno-Vōṭ Dēṇo" street play was performed by St. Gregory's C.S. School at Fatehsagar Lake to raise awareness about voting in the Lok Sabha elections. With the support and cooperation of the School Management Committee, John Varghese, Babu John, Monty Varghese, and Principal Mrs. Shubha Joshi, the district administration expressed gratitude for their support and assistance in making the event successful.
