Memorandum Submitted to CM for Completion of Pending Smart City Works in Udaipur

Udaipur, Residents of Ward No. 13, Raza Nagar, and Press Colony have raised concerns over incomplete works under the Smart City project. At a special camp organized today, Councillor Chaman Ara, former councillors Rashid Khan and Firoz Ahmed Sheikh, along with Ishaq Khan, Mubarik Khilji, and Kadar Khan, submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, urging immediate action.

The memorandum highlighted that although several works under the Smart City project have been completed in the area, construction in Raza Nagar and three streets of Press Colony remains unfinished without any valid reason. Officials of the Smart City Authority have cited budget exhaustion, despite the fact that funds had already been sanctioned.

The representatives also stressed that if the budget has indeed lapsed, the Smart City Authority must formally inform the PHED (Public Health Engineering Department), so that the department can proceed with essential services like water pipelines and sewerage lines. They pointed out that multiple letters had already been submitted earlier to the District Collector and Smart City CEO, but no concrete action has been taken so far.

Key Demands Raised in the Memorandum:

Immediate completion of the pending works under the Smart City project.

Written approval or clearance to PHED for laying water and sewerage lines.

The representatives appealed that with the intervention of the Chief Minister, long-pending issues concerning basic civic amenities in the area could finally be resolved, bringing relief to residents.
