Successful Retina Operations Using Green Laser Conducted at PIMS Hospital, Udaipur

In a significant medical advancement, doctors at Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS Hospital) in Udaipur have successfully performed retina surgeries using green laser technology.

Chairman of PIMS Hospital, Ashish Agrawal, revealed that the Department of Ophthalmology, led by Dr. Nitin Singh and his team member Dr. Sandhya Nagda, recently conducted several green laser procedures to prevent retinal damage caused by diabetes in numerous patients. Pan Retinal Photocoagulation (PRP) is a surgical procedure aimed at improving blood circulation in the retina. Specialized green laser beams are utilized in this process to constrict the retinal vessels. This procedure is commonly performed to treat diabetic retinopathy and other retinal-related issues.

Agrawal emphasized the hospital's commitment to providing free, high-quality laser services to patients, further strengthening their resolve to serve the community.
