For the First Time in India: 12 Workshops Across Four Medical Colleges Grand Inauguration of VP Workshop 2025

Udaipur:Udaipur has become the hub of national-level discussion and training on advanced medical innovations, as over 500 gynecologists and medical students from across the country gather for the FOGSI SHARP Vice President Conference 2025. For the first time in India, the conference began with the simultaneous organization of 12 workshops across four premier institutions—RNT Medical College, Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital, Pacific Medical College & Hospital, and Ananta Institute of Medical Sciences. This three-day event is dedicated to promoting research-based and practice-driven medical education.

The grand opening featured the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a Saraswati Vandana, attended by chief guest and renowned gynecologist Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar, along with Dr. Komal Chavan, Dr. Prakash Jain, Dr. Niranjan Chavan, Dr. Pradeep Bandwal, other senior FOGSI officials, organizing committee members, and dignitaries from the medical colleges.

In her address, Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar highlighted the evolving nature of medical technology and emphasized the importance of blending traditional methods with modern innovations to ensure more effective patient care. She stated that hosting 12 scientific workshops simultaneously is a landmark achievement and will prove immensely beneficial for practitioners.

Conference Chairpersons Dr. Komal Chavan and Dr. Prakash Jain shared that on the first day, several specialized scientific and academic sessions were conducted. These included:

Live demonstrations and interactive sessions on Hysteroscopy and uterine diagnostics

IUI training workshops

Hands-on guidance on modern infertility treatments

Practical sessions on Surgical Skill Lab, Endoscopy, Laparoscopy, and Hysteroscopy

Clinical case discussions where expert doctors analyzed complex scenarios to help participants sharpen their clinical decision-making skills.

Organizing Secretaries Dr. Niranjan Chavan and Dr. Pradeep Bandwal emphasized the importance of embracing modern techniques in gynecology and the urgent need for real-case-based training for young doctors and practitioners to ensure improved clinical outcomes.

The conference stands as a unique initiative to foster hands-on learning, collaborative discussion, and innovation in the field of women’s healthcare—making it a historic event in India’s medical landscape.
