Delhi – Renowned powerlifter Shivam Kumar from Delhi has earned a spot in the upcoming Nepal Championship, scheduled to be held on July 28, 2025, under the aegis of the World Power Sports Federation. He is currently undergoing intense training under the guidance of his coach Yash.
The international event will feature top athletes from across the globe in bodybuilding and powerlifting disciplines. The federation aims to encourage and promote Indian athletes by offering them a global platform to showcase their strength and talent.
The selection trials for the championship were held on July 13, 2025, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where Shivam Kumar delivered an exceptional performance in the squat and deadlift categories, securing a gold medal and thereby confirming his selection for the international event.
