Widow Leela Bai Seeks Protection from City SP,

Kota, Widow Leela Bai has appealed to the City SP for protection, alleging threats to her family by goons. In her letter, Leela Bai emphasizes that she is a widow who sustains herself and her children through laborious work.

She recounts an incident where her daughter, Anjali, was harassed along with Muslim boyfriends, including Prema Nayak, Mukesh Gurjar, Vishnu Maratha, Mahesh Maratha, near Ghoda Chauraha, Kachchi Basti, behind Kileshwar Mahadev Temple, by the Jawahar Nagar police station in Kota. The police took action against Prema Nayak, sending him to jail, while investigations against the remaining Muslims are ongoing. Since Prema Nayak's release from jail, Leela and her family have allegedly been threatened and intimidated daily. False cases of serious offenses are being threatened against her and her family, including her son, Karan, and her brother-in-law, Vinod.

Fearing for their lives, Leela Bai and her family approached the Gaavri court on 6/5/2024 to file a statement. However, they were stopped on their way by Muslim Prema Nayak, who threatened them against giving any statement in court. Prema Nayak, along with his family members, including Jan Mata Rami Bai, father Gopal, sisters Prema Nayak and Manju, threatened them with dire consequences if they proceeded with the statement against Anjali.

Despite reporting the incident to the Kota City Police Superintendent on 07/05/2024, no action has been taken, and the Muslims continue to harass them. On 10/05/2024, around 9:00 AM, Muslim Rami Bai, Gopal, Prema Nayak, Manju, while returning from the shop, stopped them on the way, abused them, and threatened them, warning them to withdraw the report, or else they would kill them. This report is also enclosed with the police superintendent.

Leela Bai earnestly requests legal action against the Muslims - Prema Nayak, Rami Bai, Gopal, Prema Nayak, and Manju - to prevent any untoward incident against her and her family.
