###Railway Collects ₹9.4 Crores from Ticketless Travelers

Kota, The Kota Division's Commercial Department collected ₹9.4 crores in revenue from 1.5 lakh cases of ticket violations during ticket inspections in the first four months (April-July) of the financial year 2024-25. These cases included 61,112 instances of ticketless travel, 90,201 cases of improper tickets, and 173 cases of unbooked luggage.

In July alone, the division earned ₹1.8 crores from 30,036 cases, including ₹95.1 lakhs from 12,520 ticketless passengers, ₹89.1 lakhs from 17,496 cases of improper tickets, and ₹7,465 from 20 cases of unbooked luggage. This has contributed significantly to the revenue of the Kota Railway Division, showcasing the commendable efforts of the Commercial Department's ticket-checking staff.
