Jaisalmer, In compliance with the directives of the Department of Autonomous Governance, Jaipur and under the guidance of Commissioner, Jaisalmer Municipal Council, a fire mock drill was conducted at Hotel Gulal on Bera Road to ensure the strengthening and smooth operation of fire services ahead of the upcoming Diwali festival and tourism season.

Fire Officer Krishanpal Singh explained that during the drill, the municipal fire team successfully controlled simulated fire points with the help of fire vehicles. People trapped in rooms at the mock points of Hotel Gulal were safely evacuated to secure locations. Participants were also educated on how to assist each other during a fire and the precautions to be taken in case of such emergencies.

Commissioner of Jaisalmer Municipal Council, Lajpal Singh, stated that the city’s fire service center, located near Buasa Mandir, is fully operational 24/7 to protect residents from fire-related incidents. He also shared the emergency contact numbers for the fire control room in case of any fire or emergency in the city: 02992-252174 and 7737231101.

This initiative aims to enhance preparedness, ensure quick response, and safeguard lives and property in Jaisalmer during high-risk periods such as festivals and peak tourist seasons.
