Udaipur,The Anand Marg Universal Relief Team (AMURT), Udaipur, organised its 350th specialised medical camp for patients suffering from diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, arthritis and heart-related ailments on Sunday, August 30, at Jagriti Parisar on Tekri-Madri Road.

The specialised medical camp series has been conducted continuously for nearly three decades, with a camp organised on the last Sunday of every month at Udaipur Jagriti.

Bhukti Pradhan Dr. S.K. Verma said AMURT is a non-governmental organisation recognised by the United Nations and is committed to serving humanity in distress. The organisation was established in 1970 under the guidance of P.R. Sarkar, who promoted the philosophies of PROUT, Microvita and Neo-Humanism. AMURT volunteers are engaged in various relief and humanitarian activities across the world.

Dr. Verma said the monthly specialised medical camp provides free diagnostic services to patients at regular intervals. These include blood sugar, blood pressure, lipid profile, bone density and thyroid hormone tests for patients suffering from diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, thyroid disorders and arthritis.

Patients also receive free medical consultation and appropriate medicines from Dr. Verma during the camp.

Dr. Verma said the continued success of the initiative was largely due to the trust and support of the patients. He added that while medical services and treatment are provided through the camp, the ultimate power to cure rests with the Almighty.

Several dedicated volunteers have been consistently contributing their services to the monthly camp, including Surendra Jain, Rajendra Jain, Girdharilal Soni, Jagdish Gaur, Nathu Singh, Naresh Sharma, Dilip and Yashoda Bai.

Refreshments were also arranged for all patients attending the 350th medical camp.
