Kota: Literature has the unique power to bring people together, heal emotional distances and nurture a more harmonious society, said Dr. Shashi Jain, National President of Samaras Sansthan Sahitya Srijan Bharat, while addressing a grand felicitation ceremony and poetry gathering organised by the Rajasthan chapter’s Dholpur unit.

As the chief guest at the event, Dr. Jain emphasised the transformative power of the written and spoken word. She said literature should never become a means of creating divisions but should serve as a bridge that connects hearts and strengthens the bonds of humanity.

“Literature unites society; it does not divide it. The words of a writer have the power to shape society. The true purpose of literature is to connect humanity and awaken the spirit of love, goodwill and harmony,” she said.

Dr. Jain observed that words carry immense creative power. Literature can offer solace to troubled minds, connect people across differences and inspire society towards compassion and mutual understanding. She said the pen of a sensitive and responsible writer should always work as a bridge between people rather than a wall separating them.

“Where literature flourishes, love, goodwill, sensitivity and harmony naturally find space to grow,” she said, underlining the important role of writers and poets in preserving human values and strengthening social cohesion.

The programme was organised under the guidance and inspiration of Dr. Mukesh Kumar Vyas ‘Snehil’, founder and guiding force of Samaras Sansthan; Dr. Prabhat Kumar Singhal, Chief Executive Officer; and Anand Jain Akela, National General Secretary. The event was led by National Secretary Rajni Sharma and Rajasthan Provincial President Govind Guru.

A special felicitation ceremony formed an important part of the programme. Dr. Shashi Jain presented the prestigious “Samaras Prem-Pushp Kalamkar Gaurav Samman–2026” to Govind Guru, Rajni Sharma, Virendra Tyagi, Murari Lal Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Anusuya, Priya Shukla, Nandini, Purnima, Hemwati ‘Hema’, Gaurav and Priya Rudrapratap, recognising their contribution to literature and creative expression.

The honoured writers and literary contributors were also presented with the institution’s literary publication “Prem-Pushp–2.”

The felicitation ceremony was followed by an engaging Kavya Goshthi, where poets and writers presented their original compositions before the audience. Poems, songs, ghazals and works across different literary genres created an atmosphere filled with emotion, creativity and literary warmth.

The gathering provided a platform not only to honour literary talent but also to reaffirm the role of literature in fostering social harmony and human connection.

At the conclusion of the programme, Rajni Sharma, programme coordinator and National Secretary, and Govind Guru, Rajasthan Provincial President, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the guests, writers, poets and all those who contributed to the success of the event.

The programme emerged as a celebration of literature, creativity, recognition and social harmony, echoing Dr. Shashi Jain’s central message: words have the power to bind hearts, and literature has the responsibility to unite society.
