Udaipur,  The eighth death anniversary of 108 Acharya Shri Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj, renowned for his powerful and thought-provoking Kadve Pravachan, was observed on September 1 at Adinath Bhawan, Sector 11, Udaipur, in the presence of Ritu Sanvegi Muni Shri Aditya Sagar Ji Maharaj.

On the occasion, a book titled “Kadve Pravachan Prem”, dedicated to the memory and teachings of Acharya Shri Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj, was released. A 51-foot-long commemorative scroll based on the life and spiritual journey of the Acharya was also unveiled by Dr. Chandra Prakash Chittora.

Dr. Chittora said he had compiled a short booklet along with the 51-foot-long scroll to preserve the memories, teachings and remarkable journey of the revered Jain monk for future generations.

According to Dr. Chittora, Acharya Shri Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj left his home at the age of 13 on March 8, 1981, and embraced Digambar monkhood at the age of 20 on July 20, 1988, at Bagidora in Rajasthan.

Known widely for his Kadve Pravachan, Acharya Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj authored several books and made Jain philosophy and spiritual teachings accessible to people in simple and relatable language. He also appeared in television programmes to spread awareness about Jainism and its principles.

Through his powerful oratory, spiritual wisdom and distinctive style of expression, Acharya Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj left a deep impression on people across different sections of society.

Dr. Chittora said his commemorative work presents a comprehensive glimpse into the life of Acharya Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj, covering his life journey, achievements, memorable anecdotes, literary works, teachings and other significant aspects of his spiritual legacy. The 51-foot-long scroll has been designed as a visual tribute to preserve and present these memories in a meaningful manner.

Rajkumar Akhawat, Patron of Tarun Prabhavan Foundation, said the commemorative programme was attended by members and office-bearers associated with the foundation. Among those associated with the event were Ashok Shah, Patron of Tarun Prabhavan Foundation; Vimal Nathu, President; Suman Chittora, President of the Mahila Mandal; Vijay Mehta; Mukesh Siparia; Devendra Kumar Chhapiya, along with other members of the Tarun Prabhavan Foundation.

The programme served as a heartfelt tribute to Acharya Shri Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj, recalling his distinctive contribution to Jain spirituality and his enduring message of truth, self-discipline and social awareness.
