Udaipur: Dr. L.S. Jhala, medical director of Alakh Nayan Mandir, will represent India at the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) International Conference, scheduled to be held in London from Sept. 11 to 14.

Director Lakshmi Jhala said Dr. Jhala will present a research paper at the international conference highlighting the work being undertaken for blindness prevention in southern Rajasthan. He will also discuss modern surgical techniques, recent developments and research in the field of ophthalmology.

Dr. Jhala said the conference is expected to bring together around 8,000 to 10,000 ophthalmologists from across the world, providing an important platform for exchange of knowledge and experience in advanced eye care.

Experts attending the conference will discuss the latest technologies and equipment used in cataract surgery, along with emerging research aimed at addressing complex eye diseases and improving surgical outcomes.

Dr. Jhala’s participation will provide an opportunity to showcase advances and initiatives in eye care and blindness prevention being undertaken in southern Rajasthan at an international forum.
